Teaching

Teaching Philosophy

In September 2015, I began teaching STEM courses at Fluminense Federal Institute, a public higher education institution in the interior of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since then, I have had the privilege of sharing my expertise with hundreds of undergraduate students, while also learning a great deal from them.

My teaching philosophy is built on three core principles:

First, teaching is a reciprocal process of sharing knowledge and experiences. It is essential not only to have a deep understanding of the subject, but also to recognize and adapt to the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of the students.

Second, I view education as a powerful tool to narrow the difference between the society we aspire to and the one we currently live in. Therefore, I am committed to minimizing the gap between classroom concepts and real-world challenges.

Third, I prioritize the solution domain over the problem domain. This approach equips students with the tools and strategies they need to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, enabling them to tackle complex issues with confidence and creativity.
