Education changes the world.

Before joining Florida International University, I spent six years as an Associate Professor in Brazil, where I shared my expertise with hundreds of undergraduate students. My teaching philosophy emphasizes bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world challenges.

Now, as a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science, my goal is to develop solutions for autonomous systems by integrating my background in control systems, robotics, and artificial intelligence. My current research interests include autonomous robotic information-gathering systems, learning-based approaches for environmental monitoring, state estimation in environments with extreme sensing and communication constraints, and human-robot collaboration.
